Education Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized University or Institute approved by AICTE/UGC or any other competent statutory authority. The apprenticeship is open only to candidates from the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering branches.
Applicants belonging to the General/OBC-NCL category must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks, whereas SC/ST/PwBD candidates are required to have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Only candidates who have completed their engineering degree on or after 01 September 2023 are eligible. Candidates with one year or more of work experience or those already engaged as apprentices under the Apprentices Act are not eligible to apply. Registration on the NATS 2.0 Portal is mandatory before submitting the HPCL application.

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates engaged as Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) will receive a monthly stipend of ₹25,000 during the one-year apprenticeship period. Out of the total stipend, ₹20,500 will be paid by HPCL, while the remaining ₹4,500 will be directly credited by the Government of India under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. The apprenticeship is purely for training purposes, and no House Rent Allowance (HRA), accommodation, or additional allowances will be provided. Completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with HPCL.
